MCT Brattberg - Cable & Pipe Sealing Transits for Offshore & Maritime

MCT Brattberg cable and pipe transits are primarily used for applications in hazardous maritime and offshore environments where the possibility of fire, explosions, water penetration or other danger poses a real threat - MCT Brattberg cable and pipe transist are specified where the rapid access to emergency services is limited or non-existent. MCT Brattberg is assessed and certified by DNV for the design, manufacture and supply of fire barrier and sealed transit systems associated with cable and pipe routes in offshore and maritime applications.

MCT Brattberg : The Original Cable Transit
The MCT Brattberg cable transit system is based on a frame with insert blocks and an end seal - MCT Brattberg was patented in the 1950's and continual product innovation ensures Brattberg cabe and pipe transits provide resistance to fire, water, gas and pressure.

MCT Brattberg Cable Transit Frames
MCT Brattberg range of cable transit frames for both welding and bolting meet the requirements of offshore and marine applications. MCT Brattberg RGS cable transit frame is the most common type.  MCT Brattberg RGSF and RGSFB cable transit frame withstands the powerful movement of bulkheads and decks, RGSC cable transit frame is used for high stress areas and RGSK is the deeper cable transit frame for use on outer decks.

The major maritime and offshore application areas are:
Oil platforms
Oil tankers/LNG carriers
Floating Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) Vessels
Drilling ships
Naval vessels
Merchant ships
Cruise ships and ferries

Main safety threats to maritime and offshore structures
Water leakage
Gas leakage
Electromagnetic pulse and interference (EMP/EMI)
Hazardous chemicals/oils

Other threats
Vibration/mechanical disruption
Vermin attack
Heat and humidity
