Remote Mid-Span Stripper

Ripley RMS remote mid-span stripper is used when splicing, jointing and terminating both HV and LV overhead power, transmission and distribution cables.

Ripley RMS is able to remove safely and quickly the insulation from the tree wire and spacer cable with cable ODs of 15.24 to 44.45mm and voltages of 15 KV to 34.5 KV. The tool can be operated by one person and has the capability of a mid-span strip at any phase without removing the conductor from spacers.

The head of the RMS tool is covered by an insualted Delrin housing and has an insulated stick and epoxy shaft connected to the head to the gearbox,
