The Hellermann Tyton MBT (Metal Ball bearing Ties) have a non-releasable locking mechanism that offers infinate adjustment along the length of the tie. These ties are available in both 316 and 304 grades of stainless steel.

Hellermann Tyton MBT stainless steel cable ties can be used in the most arduous of onshore and offshore conditions or where the additional cable security, strength and fire resistance of a metal cable fixing is required. Stainless steel cable ties are used in all industries from mass transit, shipbuilding, oil rigs, mining, rail, chemical and hazardous areas. In the event of a fire, cables will remain securely held in place by stainless steel cable ties and will not fall to block emergency exits.

Stainless steel cable ties are specified for high holding force, reliability and fire resistance - they retain bundles or single cables in industrial and hazardous areas. This includes cable tie bundling of low and high voltage power, control and instrumentation cables in offshore, oil, gas and petrochemicals installations where exposure to corrosive liquids and gasses is expected. Hellermann MBT cable ties are also used to strap and clamp fire resistant and fire performance cables. Stainless Steel cable ties with polyester coating provide a comfortable installation, especially when using at low temperatures.

High tensile strength stainless steel cable ties are often used for intermediate cable support on high voltage power cables (3.3kV, 6.6kV, 11kV and 33kV) where cable cleats provide the primary cable restraint in the event of short-circuit situation.
