3M Scotchcast Resins

 

 

Electrical insulating resins and cable jointing compounds for low and high voltage applications with excellent adhesion to cable sheaths (XLPE, EPR, PILC, PE) offering superior mechanical, electrical and chemical resistance.

3M Scotchcast 1471 resin has a very high tear strength resulting in the strength of the cable joint being at least equal to that of the cable when pulled.

3M Scotchcast resins include polyurethane (No 1471), polyetherurethane (No 1400U), epoxy (No 4) and high gel re-enterable (No 8882) resins.

Performance specifications include flame retardant, fire resistant, LSF low smoke fume, zero halogen and seawater submersible resins.

CTL Clearcast cold pour 2 part polyurethane resin packs are hermetically sealed in plastic film pouches ensuring safe enclosed mixing and pouring - approved to BS6910 and CENELEC HD 623 S1 - polyurethane resin is ideal for potting junction boxes, cable joints and void filling.
