Cable Sheath Cutter and Cutting Tools are specially engineered jointers tools designed to strip the outer sheath of low voltage (LV), medium voltage (MV) and high voltage (HV) cables with minimum cable diameters of 25mm and outer sheath thickness up to 5mm - this includes cable sheath cutting, stripping and removal of 3.3kV. 6.6kV, 11kV and 33kV power cables.

This robust cable sheath removal tool has a reversible cable cutting blade, when one end is blunt, the blade is turned and the other end can be used.

Cable Sheath Cutter Tools - Benefits

• The jointers tool has been designed after consultation with cable jointers so as to provide both longitudinal and circumferential cable sheath cutting - sheath cutting can be made from the cable end or from an intermerdiate point.

 

• The depth of cable sheath cut is adjustable by the cable jointer from 0 to 5mm, in steps of 0.1mm.

 

• The cable sheath cutting tools blade is specially formed with a guiding piece to ensure the selected depth is maintained throughout the sheath cut.

 

• A lever on the sheath cutting tool rotates a knurled wheel, which grips the cable sheath so as to drive the cable cutting blade through the toughtest cable sheath material.

 

• The precise control of the sheath cut ensures that the screening layers are not damaged when the cable sheath is removed by the jointer.

 

• The jointers tool can be used at low temperatures down to minus 10 Degrees Celsius when cable sheaths may be impossible to remove with other cable jointing tools.

 

• Fully insulated sheath cutters - 1000 volt maximum working (EN609000).
