Cable Strippers for high voltage (HV), bonded semi-conductive ("semi con") screens are designed to remove the vulcanised semi-con layer from XLPE high voltage (6.6kV-11kV-33kV) cables with diameters from 10 to 52mm.

Bonded Semi-Conductive Screen Removal Tools - Benefits

• The HV cable jointers tool has been designed for easy usage - to begin shaving just position the jointers tool at the point where you want to start, adjust the depth of cut and then move the tool around the cable using the handle.

 

• The cable stripping operation can be started from the cable end (approx. 25mm of cable screen will not be stripped) or from an intermediate point (approx. 4mm of cable screen will not be stripped).

 

• A small handle activates and de-activates the axial advancing.

 

• The semi-con stripping tool guarantees a smooth finish without irregularities after shaving and further guarantees a high quality chamfered edge ready for high voltage cable jointing.

 

• Semi-con removal tools can be used on 10mm to 52mm cable diameters.

 

• The depth of cable cut is adjustable from 0 to 1.5mm in steps of 0.1mm without the need of additional cable jointing tools and can also be limited or locked.

 

• Semi-con stripping and removal tools comply with EN 10020.
