FP600S Fire Resistant Cable

Prysmian FP600S is the ultimate fire resistant, armoured cable for power and control of  emergency, life safety and fighting systems used in buildings.

FP600S has been designed and developed for the toughest British Standard fire test for cables, BS8491 F120. It meets or exceeds the fire resistance requirements of Category 1,2 and 3 which makes it suitable for power and control circuits as defined in BS8519:2010.

The cable is featured on the LU - Approved Products Register approved by London Underground meeting the criteria for LU 1-085 and is suitable for use in section 12 (underground and surface) applications.

FP600S also meets or exceeds low fire hazard requirements of LSOH cable.

Prysmian FP600S Fire Resistant Cable Specifications

CONDUCTOR - Plain annelaed copper stranded circular (4-35 mm2) or shaped (50-400 mm2) conductor complying with BS EN 60228 Class 2.

INSULATION - Primary Insulation: Mineral ceramic (Mica/Glass) fire resistant tape Secondary Insulation: 90°C cross - linked insulation

BEDDING - Thermoplastic LSOH bedding compound

ARMOUR - Single layer of galvanised steel wires

SHEATH - Robust thermoplastic LSOH sheath. Colour - black. Other colours to speical order

INSTALLATION - Minimum recommended installation temperature 0°C. Suitable for indoor and outdoor installations. For external exposure the use of a Black sheath is recommended. Should be installed in accordance with BS7671/IEE Wiring Regulations or any other appropriate national regulations. Suitable for direct burial, trough, tray, ladder or other installations requiring a robust armoured cable.
