Hazardous Area Radio
ATEX Certified
Motorola
The Motorola range of hazardous area ATEX radios are supplied with a leather case (ATEX approved) which must be used with the radio to ensure that the unit complies with the full specification for hazardous area working.
Mandown boards are available for these models which provides an excellent safety function for volatile ATEX hazardous area atmospheres (these must be manufacturer fitted to ensure ATEX certification).
The hazardous area Motorola GP radio series carries on from the GP300 Radius FM model. This popular Motorola radio model has been used for years globally on ATEX hazardous area sites and takes advantage of full 4/5 watts power output with the only real difference being the special FM battery needed and relevant FM stickers on the radio unit.
There is also a Motorola MPT1327 trunked model (GP680FM) - this completes the FM GP range offering maximum choice of system solutions for ATEX hazardous areas.
