Furse Earthing

Furse Earthing

Furse copper earth tape, earth bars, earth rods, earth plates. Furse surge protection for mains power supplies, signal, telephone and electronic systems for building services.

Furse Copper Earth Tape
Furse copper earth tape forms by far the largest and most important component of any earthing or structural lightning protection system.
Furse offers a comprehensive range of copper and aluminium earth tape conductors in  world-standard formats, ie. flat tape, solid circular and stranded copper or aluminium.

Furse Copper Earth Bars
Furse earth bars provide a convenient common earthing point for electrical installations. Furse earth bars are available with single, or twin disconnecting links. 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22, 24, 26, 28 and 30 way Furse earth bars are available.

Furse Copper Earth Plates
Solid copper earth plates - BS 2874 – C101/C103
Lattice format copper earth plate - BS EN 13601 (formerly BS 1432)

Furse Copper Earth Rods
Furse earth rods available in solid copper, stainless steel or copper bonded steel. Furse copper bonded steel cored earth rods are by far the most popular, due to combination of strength, corrosion resistance and comparatively low cost. Solid copper and stainless steel earth rods offer a very high level of corrosion resistance at the expense of lower strength and higher cost.

Furse Surge Protection Devices
Type 1 Surge Protection - Lightning Current or Equipotential Bonding SPD. Surge protection against direct lightning strikes, designed to prevent dangerous sparking caused by flashover.

Type 11 & Type 111 Surge Protection - Transient Overvoltage SPD.
Designed to protect against surge caused by indirect lightning strikes and transients (caused by lift motors and air conditioners for example).
