25kV Sealing End for Network Rail Power Cables

3M QT111 molded rubber cable termination kit 95-EP631-2 is in widespread service throughout Network Rail systems with PADS approval for sealing 25kV cable ends. 3M Cold Shrink Over Head Line Equipment (OLE) cable terminations or sealing ends are suitable for outdoor use and high voltage operating voltages up to 52kV.

The 3M QT111 rail cable termination (cable sealing end) consists of a one-piece design having in-built stress control compound with built in top seal. 3M cable sealing ends have built in rain sheds for outdoor installation on the rail network. 3M Cold Shrink 95-EP631-2 molded rubber cable termination for terminating single core plastic insulated copper wire screened cables to HD620/IEC60502-1. Typical Network Rail application for 3M 95-EP631-2 is the outdoor termination of high voltage rail power and track feeder cables - cable terminations are Network Rail PADS Approved.

Applicable Specification Rated Voltage (kV) - Performs to IEC Class U/UO/UMAX of 26/45/52kV additional testing of AC witshtand to 105kV for 1 minute. BIL (IEEE) testing at 250kV 10 surges each polarity DC withstand (15 minute test time) 165kV DC.

Rail Cable Termination Installation - 3M Cold Shrink technology ensures quick, easy and safe installation of the QT111 termination kit by pulling and unwinding the plastic support core in counter clockwise direction down on the high voltage rail cable.

3M Cold Shrink 25kV rail cable sealing ends are supplied with 2 bolt cable lugs (Cembre 2A range) for connection and termination to overhead line and 1 bolt cable lugs (Cembre 2A7 range) to provide crimped earth connection for 35sqmm copper wire screens.
