Earthing Stubs

 

PB Weir earthing stubs may be mounted in stipulated positions in the appropriate aluminium or copper busbar substations. The earth stubs are designed with bolt fixing centres of 127mm P.C.D. or 178mm P.C.D. On 275kV or 400kV substations where the earthing stubs are not located below and parallel with the busbar, corona shields may be fitted as an integral part of the stub. It is recommended to apply NGC standard jointing procedures when fitting to high voltage switchgear equipment.

Earthing stubs typical applications : 132kV (5000MVA) and 275kV (15000MVA) isolators and posts, 275kV RCP and REP isolators, 140mm and 165mm diameter busbars, fixed earthing, portable earthing and circuit breaker heads.
