3M Hazardous Area QS1000 high voltage cable joints are installed throughout the oil, gas and petrochemical industries providing a fire resistant, chemical resistant and moisture proof cable joint for 6.6kV to 11kV cables. Utilising 3M 1400U hydrocarbon resistant resin these cable joints are installed in Zone 1 and Zone 2 hazardous areas.
3M cable joints are suitable for 6.6kV-11kV high voltage polymeric insulated (XLPE and EPR) and paper insulated (PILC) cables - 3M QS1000 cable joints are the perfect power cable jointing solution where gas, oil, sewage or chemical spillage is a concern. 3M Cold Shrink cable joints combined with 1400U resin encapsulation are suitable for mines and quarries flexible trailing cables.
