ABB POLIM-D high voltage AC surge arresters are suitable for both indoor and outdoor installation to protect against multiple atmospheric and switching overvoltages including Very Fast Transients (VFT). ABB POLIM-D are suitable for the protection of overhead lines and distribution transformers (pole mounted).

ABB POLIM-D alternating current surge arresters are silicone-housed with a line discharge of class 1 for AC systems up to 52 kV. Designed and tested according to IEC 60099-4.
