Transition cable joints are designed to joint multicore polymeric (XLPE) to paper (PILC) insulated, steel wire armoured (SWA) cables, 600/1000v and 3.3kV.

3M Scotchcast resin LA range transition cable joints with TX supplementary paper cable transition kits are suitable for both XLPE to paper and paper to paper cable joints.

Pictured : 3M Scotchcast Transition Cable Joints - XLPE (polymeric) & PILC cables (paper) insulated cables can be jointed using 3M LA kits with additional TX module kits.

3M low voltage transition cable joints (XLPE to PILC) feature the Advanced Resin Delivery System for cable jointer safety with totally enclosed mixing and pouring - preventing cable jointer contact with hazardous jointing resins and reducing spillage.

Transition cable joints are supplied with range taking mechanical shearbolt connectors for jointing imperial Mechanical Connectors - Cable Jointingto metric cables and dissimilar copper to aluminium conductors - hydrocarbon resistant power cable joint kits are also available to transition joint EEMUA 133 XLPE lead sheathed to PILC cables for oil, gas and petrochemical sites.

The 3M Scotchcast resin range of LA cable joints can be modified to accomodate polymeric trifurcating cable jointing of BS5467 XLPE insulated multicore (SWA) to single core (AWA) power cables, 600/1000 volts.
