Cembre RHC131 Hydraulic Presshead - User Instructions

Cembre RHC131 presshead tool is suitable for crimping electrical cable connectors, lugs and splices on conductors up to 400sqmm (800 MCM).

• Cembre RHC131 presshead is equipped wth "self-lock" quick male coupler
• Presshead can be connected to Cembre hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical pump
• Select the appropriate crimp die set for the electrical connector (lug or splice
• Insert the cable conductor into the connector (lug or splice)
• Locate the crimp connector between the dies at desired crimping position
• Operate the pump until the crimp dies make contact
• Ensure crimp dies are positioned exactly on the area to be crimped
• Operate the pump to advance the main ram until the die faces touch
• Continue pumping until the maximum pressure valve is activated
• Fully discharge oil pressure from the pump, to retract the ram
• Release the crimped connector from the presshead tool

Replacing Cembre RHC131 Die Sets : Upper Die - take the crimp die off its guide by pushing the die/head release pin and insert the replacement die until secured by the die/head retaining pin. Lower Die - take the crimp die off its guide by pushing the die/ram release pin and insert the new die in its guide until secured by the die/ram retaining pin.

Crimping Tool Tips & Notes : Oil pressure in the Cembre RHC131 presshead must be always completely released before disconnecting the head from the nose.

Crimping Tool Maintenance : Dust, sand and dirt threaten the safe and reliable operation of all hydraulic presshead tools - after use the Cembre RHC131 should be cleaned with a clean cloth taking care to remove any residual especially close to pivots and movable parts.
