Terylene tape is used by high voltage (HV) transmission and distribution authorities to provide a quick, temporary tape repair of cable oil leaks - additional varnished terylene tape applications include cable insulation, conductor wrapping, armature protection caps, phase barrier insulation and coil insulation.

Varnished terylene tape is available in yellow, black and natural.
