Heat shrink cable sheath repair kits improve the electrical and mechanical condition of all low and high voltage cables - including oil, fire, accidental and general service damage to LV-HV cables. Heat shrink cable sheath repair kits provide excellent reinstatement to damaged cable insulations.
3M HDCW heat shrink cable repair kits include an adhesive lining to the inner side of the heat shrink sleeve - upon heating the heat shrink sleeve shrinks and the adhesive melts achieving a seal between the sleeve and the cable.

3M Scotchcast flexible power cable jointing and repair kits are a flexible cold pour resin system for the permanent jointing and repair of single or multi-core flexible power cables. The flexible Scotchcast resin bonds securely to the cable sheath including PVC, EPR, neoprene and hypalon - they can be used to joint or repair frequently coiled power cables and are suitable for weather exposed, direct burial and submersed cable jointing.
3M cable repair kits are suitable for type 7 mining cables.

Cable Jointing Tapes, Jointing Compounds & Resins .
W T Henley and Prysmian (Pirelli) manufacture a range of Polyurethane Resin Compounds, primarily intended as a filling medium for low and high voltage cable joint boxes and terminations. However they are equally suited to any applications requiring water-tightness or mechanical protection and will adhere to paper or polymeric cables as well as copper and brass surfaces.
Prysmian R391 non-hardening plastic weatherproof compound is used to protect electrical connections -R391 compound has the consistency of a putty and superb electrical insulation properties, rated for use up to 1000v.

Since May 2003 Prysmian Cables, formerly Pirelli, has supplied some 120,000 litres of its fully industrialised new JEM resin technology to Scottish Power in phase one of the field trial.
Resin compounds are traditionally used to encapsulate both low and high voltage power cable joints.
JEM resins offer one of the most effective methods of mechanical protection and water tightness in one simple operation.

Densyl mastic is used to protect mechanical joints, flanges, fittings and valves - Denso tapes is used to protect and waterproof pipelines and cables. Denso tape is a cold applied anti-corrosion and sealing tape based on a synthetic fabric, impregnated and coated with a neutral petrolatum compound. Denso Tape is the original anti-corrosion tape manufactured by Winn and Coales (Denso) Ltd.
