SPS heat shrink cable terminations and cable jointsHeat Shrink Cable Joints & Cable Terminations  are suitable for all LV single and multi-core cables including XLPE (SWA) steel wire armoured, EPR (GSWB) steel wire braided and PILC, 600/1000 volts to 3.3kV.

Heat Shrink Joints Benefits - quick and easy to joint cables, immediate backfill of cable trench, immediate energisation ("power-up"), slim profile and lightweight for vertical cable jointing, suit underground, overhead and submersible cable joint applications.

Heat shrink cable joints can be kitted to enable the LV jointing of XLPE, PILC, EPR and PVC cables, this includes cable joints up to 3.3kV for straight (XLPE to XLPE, PILC to PILC), transition (XLPE to PILC) and transition trifurcating (3 Single XLPE to 3 Core PILC) cables.

Shrink Polymer Systems heat shrink cable joints and cable termination kits are tested to BS7888 which incorporates Cenelec Standards HD 628 S1 and 629.1 S2 : 2006, DIN VDE0279 and IEC60502. 

Heat Shrink Cable Joints & Cable Terminations - Polymeric (XLPE EPR)

Heat shrink cable terminations suit 3-core and 4-core polymeric cables (4-300sqmm) and single core cables (50-1000sqmm). Heat shrink cable joints suit 2-core, 3-core and 4-core polymeric cables, (1.5-300sqmm).

Termination Kit Contents:

Polymeric heat shrink cable terminations include adhesive lined cable breakout and core sealing tubes for terminating low voltage cable ends.

Joint Kit Contents:

Polymeric heat shrink cable joints include medium wall heat shrink tubes (to seal crimped conductors), thick wall heat shrink tubes (to re-instate cable sheath jacket), earth continuity (to provide wire braid or armour continuity), mastic tapes and either compression crimp splices or mechanical connectors

SPS heat shrink cable terminations suit 3-core and 4-core paper insulated lead covered cables (4-300sqmm). SPS heat shrink cable joints suit 2-core, 3-core and 4-core paper cables (16-300sqmm).

Fixed Wiring and Mains Cables - Stranded plain annealed copper conductors, XLPE insulated, PVC bedding, galvanised steel wire armour (SWA), PVC outer sheath black. 1900/3300 volts (3.3kV) grade to BS5467. Flame propagation to BS EN 60332.

BS5467 Mains 3 Core XLPE, PVC, SWA, PVC, 3300V - 16mm to 400mm. Fixed Wiring and Mains Cables - Stranded plain annealed copper conductors, XLPE insulated, PVC bedding, galvanised steel wire armour (SWA), PVC outer sheath black. 1900/3300 volts (3.3kV) grade to BS5467. Flame propagation to BS EN 60332.

Mines & Quarries Mains, XLPE, PVC, SWA, PVC, with 60% Conductivity in Armour, 3300V, 16mm to 300mm. Fixed Wiring and Mains Cables - Plain annealed stranded copper conductors, XLPE insulated, PVC extruded bedding, galvanised steel wire armour incorporating tinned copper wires to provide 60% conductivity of any one phase. PVC outer sheath black. 1900/3300 volts (3.3kV) grade generally to BS5467 and BC295. Flame propagation to BS EN 60332.

EEMUA 133 Mains XLPE, Lead Sheathed, PVC, SWA, PVC for Petro-Chemical industries, 3300V, 25mm to 300mm. Fixed Wiring and Mains Cables - Plain annealed stranded copper conductors, XLPE insulated, lead sheathed (LC), PVC bedding, galvanised steel wire armour (SWA), PVC outer sheath black. 1900/3300 volts (3.3kV) grade to BS5467 and EEMUA133 (formerly OCMA 4B). Flame propagation to BS EN 60332-1 (IEC 60332-1), bunched  cables to BS EN 50266-2-2 (IEC 60332-22 category A) and BS EN 50266-2-4 (IEC 60332-3-24 category C).
