Abtech BPG GRP Enclosures & Junction Boxes for Hazardous Areas

The Abtech BPG range of GRP hazardous area enclosures and junction boxes includes 17 sizes manufactured in glass reinforced polyester. The Abtech BPG range of GRP enclosures and junction boxes are also suitable for LSOH (low smoke zero halogen) applications. GRP provides excellent mechanical strength and life expectancy for superior junction box performance.

Hazardous Area Zones Classification
Zone 1 - where flammable atmosphere is likely to occur during normal operation.
Zone 2 - where flammable atmosphere is not likely to occur during normal operation and if it does will only exist for short period of time, typically less than 10 hours per year.

Abtech BPG GRP Enclosures & Junction Boxes, Features : Wide operating temperature (-70 to +130 degrees Celsius), Ingress protection to IP67, Fire resistant to IEC331, UV resistant, Hazardous area certified.

Hazardous Area Certified GRP Electrical Enclosures & Junction Boxes : Abtech BPG GRP enclosures and junction boxes carry global hazardous area certifications - ATEX EEx'e' to BSEN50019 (Zone 1 & 2), EEX'nA' to BSEN50021 (Zone 2) and NEMA 4X (CSA, UL & FM Class 1 Div 2).

Fire Resistant GRP Enclosures & Junction Boxes : Abtech BPG enclosures can be upgraded for fire fire resistance applications when fitted with ceramic terminals meeting the requirement of IEC331 (750 degrees Celsius for 3 hours) and BS6387/1983 (950 degrees Celsius for 3 hours - flame only).

GRP Enclosures & Junction Boxes for the Food Processing Industry : Abtech BPG GRP enclosures are highly resistant to contamination from oils, fats, aliphatic and aromatic carbohydrates, bacteria and enzymes - other applications include industrial and hazardous area junction boxes, OEM, fire protection systems and tunnel wiring.

GRP Enclosures & Junction Boxes for the Subsea Offshore Oil & Gas Industry : Due to the BPG hazardous area enclosures labyrinth seal system, where the seal is protected from external forces, the BPG enclosure has excellent ingress protection qualities (IP66 IP67) and have passed the Shell/ERA deluge test.
