Abtech BPG GRP Enclosures & Junction Boxes for Hazardous Areas

The Abtech BPG range of GRP hazardous area enclosures and junction boxes includes 17 sizes manufactured in glass reinforced polyester. The Abtech BPG range of GRP enclosures and junction boxes are also suitable for LSOH (low smoke zero halogen) applications. GRP provides excellent mechanical strength and life expectancy for superior junction box performance.

Hazardous Area Zones Classification
Zone 1 - where flammable atmosphere is likely to occur during normal operation.
Zone 2 - where flammable atmosphere is not likely to occur during normal operation and if it does will only exist for short period of time, typically less than 10 hours per year.

Hazardous Area Certified GRP Electrical Enclosures & Junction Boxes : Abtech BPG GRP enclosures and junction boxes carry global hazardous area certifications - ATEX EEx'e' to BSEN50019 (Zone 1 & 2), EEX'nA' to BSEN50021 (Zone 2) and NEMA 4X (CSA, UL & FM Class 1 Div 2).

Fire Resistant GRP Enclosures & Junction Boxes : Abtech BPG enclosures can be upgraded for fire fire resistance applications when fitted with ceramic terminals meeting the requirement of IEC331 (750 degrees Celsius for 3 hours) and BS6387/1983 (950 degrees Celsius for 3 hours - flame only).
