CSD RISE Fire Proof Sealing for Fire Rated Marine & Offshore Bulkheads & Decks (A60 H120)

A60 H120 Fire Proof Cable & Pipe Sealing for Fire Rated Bulkheads & Decks
CSD RISE Duct Seals - Save Time, Space & Weight

DNV & Lloyds Register Approved for Marine Offshore Pipe & Cable Sealing

CSD RISE multi-cable and pipe penetrations are the market leading choice for sealing fire rated and watertight bulkheads and decks in marine and offshore industries. Openings in fire-resistance rated bulkheads and decks must be fire-stopped to restore the fire-resistance ratings that would otherwise be compromised if the openings were left unsealed.

The CSD fire resistant cable transit sleeves expand 5-10 times their original volume when exposed to fire and both sides of the penetration are protected with fire resistant, water repellent CSD FIWA sealant.

CSD RISE multi-cable and pipe sealing system incorporates the latest in fire-stop technology to seal and duct all service entries and penetrations as they pass through A60, H120 decks and bulkheads. Approved by all major worldwide classification societies, RISE prevents the passage of fire, smoke, water and gases up to the pressure of 2.5 bar. The fire proofing cable and pipe sealing system is instantly re-enterable, maintaining the integrity of the penetration without the need to replace any blocks or compress the contents.

RISE Crusher Collars for Fire Resistant Ducting of Pipes in Fire-Rated Bulkheads & Decks........
RISE crusher collars are used for the fire-resistant ducting of plastic pipes through fire-rated bulkheads and decks. Where plastic pipes are ducted they pose a serious source of problems in the event of fire. At a temperature of about 75 °C the plastic softens and spontaneous ignition occurs at about 140 °C allowing the fire to spread via the resultant opening in the deck or bulkhead.

To meet this problem the RISE crusher collar has been developed. The collar consists of two metal caps filled with FRR/EHF (Fire Resistant Rubber-Expanding, Halogen Free). When exposed to flames or to temperatures above 200 °C the rubber within the caps expands vigorously. As a result it will in a very short time seal off the opening left by the softened or combusted plastic pipe. The expanded rubber possesses good thermal insulation properties, ensuring that the softened pipe will re-harden after compression.

A60 Class Bulkhead Cable & Pipe Penetrations - a minimum number of sealing components is needed, two crusher collars and two gaskets are enough for a fire safe penetration.

A60 Class Deck Cable & Pipe Penetrations -
a crusher collar and gasket combined with a CSD sealing plug fulfil the requirements for a A60 class penetration.
