Prysmian FP400

Prysmian FP400 is a tough, armoured fire resistant cable with low fire hazard properties and limited fire resistance making it ideal for part of the power or control circuits in buildings if circuit integrity in the event of fire is required.

FP400 cable maintains circuit integrity during BS6387 CWZ fire test and produces very low levels of smoke and virtually no acidic gases.

FP400 handles like a standard armoured cable and can be installed just as easily without special tools or accessories and it is suitable for indoor or outdoor use with installation either directly buried or in a trough, fixed direct, tray or ladder.

  • Plain annealed copper stranded (class 2) conductor to meet the requirements of BS EN 60228 class 2
  • Mineral ceramic (Mica/Glass) fire resistant tape. 90°C cross-linked insulation
  • Extruded LS0H bedding and sheath with single layer of galvanised steel wire armour
  • FP400 cable is available in brown-black, brown-black-grey and blue-brown-black-grey as standard. Available to special order in red-black, red-yellow-blue or black-red-yellow-blue on request. 7-37 cores in white with printed numbers
  • Temperature range -25 to +90ºC
  • Bending radius 8D
  • High mechanical impact protection
  • Fire performance BS EN 60332-1-2, BS EN 60332-3-24
  • Halogen free fire resistant cables – BS EN 60754-1
  • Low smoke emissions – BS EN 61034-2
  • Fire resistant BS 6387 CWZ
